How Do You Shower?
Hansgrohe Invites You to “Click to Pick”

It’s the first thing many of us do when we wake up. It’s a time to reflect, come up
with ideas, or indulge in the cliché of breaking out into song. Clearly, showering
plays a huge role in our lives, so it’s surprising that so many just accept a
standard set-up in the shower. Having a shower system that fits your needs and
preferences can enhance the experience and increases overall wellness. As inventor
of the adjustable, multi-spray handshower, Hansgrohe should know a thing or two
about showering. Ten years ago, Hansgrohe and design firm Phoenix Design
revolutionized the category with the Raindance® collection.  Since then, we’ve
continued our research with Phoenix Design to take the shower experience to the next
level.
Enter Hansgrohe’s new Raindance® Select products. The Raindance Select Showerpipe’s
integrated Raindance Select E 120 AIR handshower and the available Raindance Select
150 AIR handshower have Hansgrohe’s Select feature. This allows you to Select from a
variety of spray modes at the satisfying “click” of a button. While many
manufacturers today are focusing on digital operations, Hansgrohe is taking a
user-friendlier route with this intuitive, mechanical function. After all, why make
showering stressful with complicated controls?

With Hansgrohe’s Select technology, the Raindance Select E 120 and Raindance Select
150 AIR hand showers have set a new benchmark for the market in terms of operation
and accommodation of personal preferences. In order to create the best product
possible, we conducted a comprehensive study regarding what people want from their
shower. We found, and confirmed in a shower testing lab at our international
headquarters in Germany, that each individual has a favorite shower spray setting
according to lifestyle and needs. We weren’t satisfied with merely giving our
customers more choice, however: we also wanted to make it easier to change spray
modes. With the invention of the ergonomically placed Select button, one handshower
can be shared by the whole family—without sacrificing individual choice. For
example, a gentle spray is better for children, while those with long hair need a
forceful spray for rinsing out shampoo. For athletes or those in need of soothing
stress relief, the whirl jet is ideal for easing tense muscles.
Beyond its integrated Select handshower, what makes the Raindance Select showerpipe
a great choice for the shower? Its gorgeous, sleek silhouette, as well as its
practical features make it a winner. Further, its “EcoStat Select” thermostat does
double duty as a stylish shelf—perfect for holding all those shower accessories.
What’s more, with an anti-scald chrome housing, you can rest assured that the shelf
always maintains a neutral temperature, even when extremely hot water is used.
Finally, the showerpipe’s outside-the-wall configuration makes it easy for plumbing
professionals to install…check out this quick installation video

However you shower, Hansgrohe’s Raindance Select showerpipe and Select handshowers
are sure to deliver showering satisfaction.

Hansgrohe - Reflectioni & Celebration

submitted by:  Alexandra Zwicky, Novita PR

As 2012 comes to a close, it’s a natural time for reflection and celebration as we look forward to a new year ahead. Hansgrohe (www.hansgrohe-usa.com) and its designer brand Axor (http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/798.htm), is doing just that and would like to share some highlights. We’ve had lots percolating at our Alpharetta, Ga. North American headquarters this year, including establishing programs catering to the local A&D community, adding new CEUs at our training and interactive product center, the Aquademie, and launching a product collection that has garnered worldwide recognition.

One of the services we introduced is a unique Sample Library for the Atlanta region. The program allows design professionals to borrow popular Hansgrohe or Axor faucets (mounted on acrylic/non-functioning) for up to one week. The product is sent, free of charge, via messenger/delivery service to any office or meeting site in Georgia and is picked up when finished.

We’ve also continued to leverage and improve the Aquademie, which offers the full Hansgrohe/Axor experience and is a dynamic resource for design professionals and those in the market for kitchen & bath products. It’s the perfect spot to meet our passionate, ever-growing, Hansgrohe team, learn about our exciting, top-of-the-line products, as well as participate in lively and practical CEUs. No trip to the Aquademie would be complete without a visit to our famous working Showerworld, where guests can actually experience more than thirty of Hansgrohe and Axor’s world-renowned shower products. Visits are by appointment only. Sign up here today!  http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/11849.htm

At our manufacturing facility, just steps from the Aquademie, we combine German-engineering with American assembly to produce a variety of innovative offerings for the kitchen and bath. We’re passionate about water and pride ourselves on delivering top-of-the-line products. Take for example our award-winning Axor Bouroullec collection by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec. Made up of faucets, washbasins, a bathtub, shower components, and accessories, Axor Bouroullec invites users to “feel free to compose” and think about how they interact with water to create customized bathroom configurations. Because the collection’s faucet spouts and handles are available as separate components, they can be placed in an infinite number of ways on the sinks’ drillable built-in shelves. Available as a built-in model-with one or two offset shelves or as a wall-mounted model, the sinks can accommodate single-handle faucets, as well as two and three-hole faucets suitable for mounting on the sink or wall. The drillable shelves play a leading role in this collection, offering a consistent design element and extra space for toiletries. One of the standouts of the line is the pre-configured Axor Bouroullec Shelf with Integrated Faucet, which cleverly does double duty, serving as a practical piece of furniture and water dispensing element. Since the aerator is concealed, the water seems to flow magically from the shelf into the sink below. Virtually try out your very own Axor Bouroullec composition with the " Axor Bouroullec Composer" here http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/3736.htm

Wishing you a happy rest of 2012 and a Happy New Year! Catch you in 2013!

"Feel Free to Compose" - Axor Bouroullec collection from Hansgrohe

written by:  Jen Bruno, Hansgrohe National Sales training Manager,IIDA, AIA, ASID, NKBA, NARI, USGBC

"Feel free to compose."

That's the message behind the Axor Bouroullec collection from Hansgrohe’s designer brand, Axor. Imagine being able to design your own bathroom oasis by placing faucets and fixtures anywhere you like. Envision a shelf, which doubles as a faucet, allowing for extra space for bath and shower accessories. Enter Axor Bouroullec. Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, this game-changing collection can bring these seemingly impossible design scenarios to life. Comprised of faucets, sinks, a bathtub, shower components, shelves and accessories, it lets you create your own personalized bathroom configurations without having to custom-order essential components. Axor Brand Manager Philippe Grohe elaborates, “Fittings can be freely arranged within the washing area: on the integrated shelves, in front of, or next to the sink, or on the wall. As a result, Axor Bouroullec offers a wealth of options to create designs and solutions that meet the functional, aesthetic and individual needs of the user The use of mineral resin for the sinks and shelves and acrylic for the tub is the main reason behind the collection’s unlimited potential. It provides the freedom to position the faucet and handles to one’s liking, as the surfaces can be easily and safely drilled to meet individual wishes. The easy-to-clean material also allows for the collection’s refined shapes and narrow radii. First unveiled to the North American market at Axor NYC, Axor’s Manhattan-based design studio, the collection officially launched at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in NY the following day. Since then, it has traveled to other well-known fairs. This June, it stole the show at Modern Atlanta (MA), an annual 10-day event focused on delivering a shot of bold design to Atlanta and the Southeast. As part of the program, Axor Bouroullec was included in a curated design exhibition at Terminus Atlanta (http://modern-atlanta.org/ma/2012-ma-home-tour-launch-design-exhibition/). The local design extravaganza was a huge success, maximizing exposure and underscoring the company’s commitment to the community. Just a few short weeks later, Axor Bouroullec made its mark in Los Angeles at Dwell On Design in front of a record crowd of 27,428 attendees The Dwell editorial team couldn’t get enough of the collection, covering it first at ICFF: http://www.dwell.com/articles/ICFF-2012-Axor--the-Bouroullecs.html and again at Dwell on Design: http://www.dwell.com/articles/kitchen--bath-at-dwell-on-design-2012.html Axor Bouroullec can be easily accessed virtually using the Axor Bouroullec Composer online tool. Perfect for planning, it allows users to see the wide variety of conceivable and technically feasible solutions available. Each user can build individual compositions to meet their functional requirements and aesthetic preferences at the click of a mouse. Professionals can access a technical, 2D view. This function designates the drillable space and includes grids with placement coordinates. The customer version of the software offers a 3D view, which allows users to design their individual bathroom areas and deal with questions that relate to their bathroom layout. Check it out here http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/7080.htm and “feel free to compose!”

Hansgrohe, Partnership - Continues Support of CHOA Atlanta

submitted by Alexandra Zwicky, Novita Communications

Whether it’s sponsoring local fundraising events or giving to local charities, Hansgrohe, the highly regarded kitchen and bath manufacturer with German roots and U.S. headquarters in Alpharetta, is proud to support its community. When the company heard that Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) was building a brand new campus in Forsyth County, the company was quick to lend a hand, grateful to have the world-class pediatric care available in its backyard. To date, Hansgrohe has made significant contributions, enhancing CHOA’s interior, as well as helping with its external operations by providing funds for a critical-care transport unit.

Hansgrohe outfitted the space in style, supplying faucets for the 47 exam rooms, 11 restrooms, staff breakroom and several other multi-use areas of the new facility. Axor Montreux faucets from Hansgrohe’s designer brand Axor and Hansgrohe’s Talis S faucets were chosen for their superior features. They can withstand many years of heavy use, offer 30% water savings and boast a classic look. A profile and images on the project can be found here http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/11668.htm.  Additionally, a fun and interactive online Water Savings Calculator tool can be found here http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/1870.htm. It provides personal water use statistics and visually displays how much water and money can be saved by opting to use low-flow products, such as those specified in CHOA.

Additionally, it was determined that a transport ambulance was urgently needed at CHOA-Forsyth, as expanding and expediting access to the facility requires a unique transportation system which addresses the highly-specialized needs of pediatric patients. Russ Wheeler, President of Hansgrohe North America, presented a check to the hospital for the special ambulance. From one prestigious organization to another, Hansgrohe’s state-of-the-art fixtures and latest donation are being put to exceedingly good use in the nationally recognized hospital.
